The latest piece of gossip in Apple county suggests that beta 6 for iOS 7 will be arriving sometime next week, and will be the final beta build before the more stable Gold Master (GM) build makes an appearance.
The last two iOS 7 betas came out in quick succession, and if BGR’s sources are to be believed, the next beta (beta 6) will be out next week and conclude the beta cycle, with the GM build arriving for employees and partners by September 5th.
The gold master build will then be rolled out to the public once it gets cleared of any serious bugs or problems, though not before it gets delivered to developers on the day of unveiling of the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, reportedly set for September 10th. No major changes are expected in the next beta, though looking as how something like the settings icons were drastically changed in beta 5, further changes and finishing touches to the interface may be in order.
It will be interesting to see where Apple takes iOS 7, the most major revamp of the OS in its 6-year history, in the next couple of builds. The latest betas are already more than stable enough, so Apple might just have everything ready in time for their next big iPhone unveil.
