Apple is yet to announce the iPad 5, its next generation tablet. The Smart Covers accessory for iPad 5 has apparently already leaked.
Recent rumors suggest that Apple might conduct a media event in the second week of October to launch its new iPads. The time-frame itself is plausible, given that Apple is nearing the end of the release cycle of the iPad. There have been a lot of leaks about the upcoming tablet over the last few weeks, a number of parts and components have already been leaked out in the public domain. Now, a video has surfaced online which shows off the Smart Cover accessory that Apple will reportedly offer with the iPad 5.
The Smart Covers shown in the video are said to be for the upcoming iPad 5. Evidently, there aren’t that many changes. Color options seem to be the same and have apparently been carried forward from the previous generation of Smart Covers. The video shows off covers in red, orange, pink, white, black, blue, green and grey. By looking at these covers, it appears that perhaps the next generation iPad will indeed come with design changes that almost everybody is speculating about now.
Speculation surrounding the design is that the iPad 5 will have a design similar to that of iPad mini. Only today a few purported iPad 5 schematics were leaked on the internet, they hint at the tablet being thinner and lighter as well as visually similar to its younger sibling. Apple hasn’t confirmed when it intends on revealing the iPad 5, but it is expected that the announcement might take place in October.
