Some analysts are predicting that the launch of the iPhone 5 will give the American economy a much needed boost (however small that may be).  The iPhone 5 launch will up the workload for Apple employees (and Foxconn employees) as well as the servers, thus, it just makes sense that there should be two to three days of headroom for the Cupertino-based firm to make the necessary preparations to accommodate consumer interests.

At this moment, there are probably thousands of people sitting at their computer hitting the refresh button on the Apple website just to get their pre-orders in first.  That alone may overload the servers, and ultimately that may be a roadblock as well as bad PR for Apple.

Apple doesn’t have a history of launching products in any type of pattern, and so the launch of the new iPhone won’t be any different.  Pre-orders could begin today, or tomorrow, or maybe even next week, but ultimately building up anticipation and hype have always been Apple’s forte, which, for many years now, have always worked in its favor.
