The iPhone OS 3.1.2 has now gone live, fixing some of the rather "big" issues on your iPhone. Updating is as usual, simply connect your iPhone to your PC that has iTunes. Click on Update Now under iPhone menu and the update will prompt you

Updating is as usual, simply connect your iPhone to your PC that has iTunes. Click on Update Now under iPhone menu and the update will prompt you
The latest update fixes the following:
• Resolves sporadic issue that may cause iPhone to not wake from sleep
• Resolves intermittent issue that may interrupt cellular network services until restart
• Fixes bug that could cause occasional crash during video streaming
