Japan: Elastic Water
Not really a gadget but rather Japanese scientists invented "Elastic Water" which could prolly pave the way to more ecologically clean products in the future.

This "elastic water" contains 95% water and the remaining is a mixture of 2 grams of clay with a small quantity of organic matter.

The substance is jelly-like and is intended for medical usage such as sticking tissues together. Study period should end in September 2010 and if scientists succeed, the density of this matter could be increased and prolly be used to make ecological friendly plastic-alike products.
