While most of you speed addicts wouldn’t even consider giving a chance to any JiaYu phone until hearing more about that Snapdragon 600-powered S1, those that are willing to sacrifice a little to save up money should be ecstatic to hear the G4 Advanced and Youth are finally launching.

JIAYU-G4

This week nonetheless, with pre-orders going live Saturday July 6 at around 11:30 AM (China time). Right off the bat, I have to warn you though that only about 5,000 units will be available at first, so expect initial stocks to be exhausted in a matter of minutes.

Also, if you reside outside China and are thinking of getting one of these, think again – international sellers will likely have to wait an additional few weeks to kick shipping into gear.

Anyhoo, for those lucky few who’ll manage to grab an updated G4, let’s mention the Advanced (or Turbo) variant will pack a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T SoC, plus 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of on-board storage.

Meanwhile, the Youth model will have the same zippy CPU beneath its hood, but half the RAM of its “brother” and an eight (!) of the internal memory (i.e. 4 gigs). The rest of the specs should be the same across the board, including 4.7-inch 720p displays, 13 MP cams and massive 3,000 mAh batteries.

In terms of design, you shouldn’t notice any difference between the two either, with black and white versions to be sold for each. As far as pricing goes, we know the Advanced will go for 1,299 Yuan, plus 30 for shipping (that’s $210, plus 5 bucks), but no words for the Youth yet.

Any (early) takers? Still thinking about it? Remember, make up your mind quickly, because if you snooze, you’ll likely lose come Saturday.
