Kanguru Announces Affordable Defender Basic Encrypted Flash Drive

Kanguru Solutions, manufacturer of high quality, secure and portable computer storage and peripherals, has launched its Defender Basic series of flash drives, targeting mainstream users.

Kanguru Solutions, manufacturer of high quality, secure and portable
computer storage and peripherals, has launched its Defender Basic series of flash drives, targeting mainstream users. Available in capacities of 2Gb to 128Gb, it features a USB 2.0
interface, on-chip password matching, and 256-bit AES hardware-based
encryption. They can now be purchased from authorized resellers and
e-tailers at prices starting from USD 29.95 (2Gb).

“Our goal with the Defender Basic is to provide a highly secure flash drive at an affordable price so that consumers can get the same level of security that businesses and government organizations get.” said Don Brown, CEO of Kanguru Solutions.

“The Kanguru Defender Basic retains the same high level hardware
encryption as our government and enterprise model, the Kanguru Defender
Elite, but removes some of the higher end components such as remote
management and FIPS 140-2 Certification. This way we are able to produce
a highly secure device that hits a very attractive price point for
consumers closing in on the price of unencrypted drives,” he added.
