Microsoft and LucasArts have collaborated to create the Xbox 360 Limited Edition “Kinect Star Wars” bundle especially for “Kinect Star Wars”, offering immersive, one-of-a-kind Star Wars experience to avid gamers. The Xbox 360 Limited Edition “Kinect Star Wars” bundle features a custom Star Wars design, modeled after iconic Star Wars characters like R2-D2 blue-and-white themed console and the first ever white Kinect sensor, a custom Xbox 360 Wireless Controller inspired by C3PO, unique sounds from the Star Wars universe and an Xbox 360 Wired Headset.  The bundle also comes with copies of “Kinect Adventures” and “Kinect Star Wars” – the only Star Wars game that puts you directly in the game, no controller required. Xbox has recently rolled out their first nation-wide Kinect dance competition in Singapore – the Dance Central Championships 2012. Inspired by the best-selling videogame, Dance Central 2 on Xbox 360, the competition offers over S$15,000 worth of cash and prizes to aspiring dancers. Leveraging Kinect for Xbox 360 means everyone has a chance to make it to the top, not just experienced dancers. The latest “Dance Central 2” game allows two players to dance together to the tune of over 40 chart-topping hits from artists like Usher, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, Daft Punk, Justin Bieber, and more.

With the Dance Central Championships 2012, Xbox Singapore is inviting dancers, young and old, to show off their skills and win great prizes in the following categories:

- Singles (age 13 and up)

- Doubles (age 13 and up. A bonus prize of S$500 for each team member if both are from the same educational institution)

- Junior (age 6-12)

Qualifying rounds will be held in selected malls (IMM, 313 Orchard, Tampines 1, Plaza Singapura) and schools from 13th February to 5th April 2012, culminating in a semi-finals and grand finals at Plaza Singapura from 6-8th April. The winners of each category will then enter into a final dance-off on 8th April to determine Singapore’s Ultimate Dance Champion. The finals will be judged by a distinguished panel that includes Mediacorp DJ Rosalyn Lee (Rozz) from 98.7FM and Vernon Huang from Studio Wu, one of the top Hip Hop and jazz dance studios in Singapore. The Dance Central Championships 2012 and Kinect Star Wars will come together at Plaza Singapura from 3rd to 8th April.
