LaCie has unveiled the new XtremKey flash drive which, according to
LaCie, can survive in any environment “no matter where you take it”.
Encased in a 2mm zamac* pipe casing, the XtremKey can endure the
pressure of a 10-ton truck, survive 5 meter drops, is water-resistant
(up to 100 meters), and works in extreme temperatures (+200°C to -50°).
Available in capacities from 8Gb to 16Gb, it features a USB 2.0
interface and supports transfer rates up to 30Mb/s (write) and 40Mb/s
(read). The XtremKey can be purchased from LaCie Online Store, LaCie
Corner, and authorized LaCie Resellers come August at a MSRP from USD
