Indian Smartphone maker Lava has launched their newest handset in the Indian market. Introducing the value oriented Xolo Q600, a quad-core Smartphone for just INR 8999, roughly $150.
Lava Xolo Q600 specifications:
- MediaTek MT6589M Chipset
- 1.2 GHz Quad-Core ARM Cortex A7 CPU
- 238 MHz PowerVR SGX544 GPU
- 512 MB RAM
- 4.5-inch FVWGA (854 x 480) Display
- 5 MP Camera with LED Flash, VGA Front Cam
- 4 GB Internal Storage, Micro SD Card Slot
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0
- 2000 mAh Battery
- Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean
At first glance, you have a pretty neat package that offers a quad-core chipset (albeit with a down-clocked GPU), a decent 4.5-inch display, a 2000 mAh battery which promises 13 hours talk time (10 hours on 3G) and 333 hours of stand-by, and the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. The only sight for sore eyes would be the relatively low-resolution FWVGA display (instead of a qHD or HD panel) and 512 MB of RAM (1 GB would have been perfect). But then again, this device costs only $150 (INR 8999), and for now, only comes in White.
