[UPDATED] Leaked Xperia ZU images show how big the 6.44-inch Sony phablet really is

Here’s a pair fresh leaked images of a rather large device, unmistakeably the Sony Xperia ZU Togari phablet rumored to be officially announced tomorrow, June 25.

It’s the web, nothing’s hidden from it. Once something is online, there’s no place you can hide it from, just like how this image couldn’t remain hidden for long. The look, the thickness of the device (6.5mm FYI), the size of the device makes it unmistakable, this could only be the unannounced Sony Xperia ZU Toragi phablet flagship, rumored to be announced officially on the 25th of June. Oh wait, that’s tomorrow!

I must admit, I’m a slight bit dismayed that the person holding the phone is writing with a pencil on a memo and not on the phone itself, after all rumors from a few weeks ago made us believe that the Xperia ZU will support a pencil as a stylus (we got fantasizing, looks like we’re going to get disappointed).

Rest of the rumored specifications are top notch, with a Snapdragon 800 SoC under the hood, an 8 MP Exmor RS camera sensor, 2 GB of RAM, 6.44-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) panel of which 6.2-inch will comprise the actual Android UI (the remainder is eaten up by on-screen buttons) and of course, the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean sporting an updated Sony UI tailored for the huge 6.44-inch display. All rumors point to its imminent announcent at Sony’s media event scheduled for tomorrow, June 25.
