Touted as the high performance entertainment machine of the updated IdeaPad series, the Lenovo IdeaPad Y470 is reportedly packed with "innovative tools and features that make mobile entertainment more realistic, fun and intuitive".

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y470 will reportedly be offered with up to five different processor choices for consumers to pick and choose. Users who crave the top-end processors can go for the Intel Core i7-2620M option,  mainstream consumers can choose between the Core i5-2540M, i5-2520M and i5-2410M processors and budget users will probably be satisfied with a Core i3-2310M processor. In addition to the processors, the Y470 will also come standard with an NVIDIA GeForce GT555M graphics card that boasts 1GB of VRAM and supports switchable graphics technology. Last but not least, the notebook will feature up to 8GB of memory, storage capacities of up to 1TB (or an optional 32GB/64GB SSD), JBL-designed speakers and an integrated Blu-ray disc drive.

The IdeaPad Y470 will be available from end-May onwards; its retail pricing will be announced at a later date.

The notebook for the fashion-conscious, the IdeaPad Z470 features what Lenovo calls a "cool, furutistic ID design" that includes a transparent cover with a selection of catchy colours. However, lurking under the good-looking shell of a notebook lies some rather capable hardware.

The Z470 features up to three processor choices for the user to pick from, namely the Intel Core i5-2520M, i5-2410M and i3-2310M. In addition, the Z470 will come with "up to a NVIDIA GeForce GT525M" graphics card which boasts 2GB of VRAM and support for switchable graphics technology. Lastly, the notebook will sport hard disk capacities of up to 1TB, and feature either an integrated DVD drive or a Blu-ray drive.

The IdeaPad Z470 will be available locally from mid-April onwards at the starting price of S$1,149.


Lenovo IdeaPad G470

The Lenovo IdeaPad G470 allows for up to three different processor choices, namely the Intel Core i7-2620M, i5-2540M and i5-2520M, and comes with up to 8GB of memory, a 640GB hard disk and a choice of either an integrated DVD drive or a Blu-ray drive. In addition, the Lenovo IdeaPad G470 also offers users a choice of an AMD Radeon HD 6370 graphics card which features 1GB of dedicated VRAM.

The Lenovo IdeaPad G470 is currently available for sale at the starting price of S$999.
