LG launches Optimus LTE, first 4G HD smartphone in Korea

LG Korea has announced the launch of their new Optimus LTE smartphone, which claims to be the first mobile device in the country to lead Long Term Evolution (LTE) with high definition IPS display technology. Unfortunately, no word as to when this phone will be available outside Korea though.

LG Korea has announced the launch of Optimus LTE, which claims to be the first mobile device in the country to offer 4G connectivity with the highest resolution IPS display available on a smartphone. The LG Optimus LTE features a brilliant 4.5-inch "True HD IPS” display which claims to provide higher resolution, brightness and clarity, showing natural colors. It is equipped with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread mobile operating system and comes with a high capacity 1,830 mAh battery. On top of that, the smartphone also offers seamless content sharing through HDMI and DLNA. Availability of the LG Optimus LTE in markets outside of Korea has not been confirmed.
