Just two weeks before Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona, a LG smartphone with glass-free 3D screen has been leaked. And it is believed to be the LG Optimus 3D.
Update: LG has confirmed that the LG Optimus 3D smartphone will be unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
There is no way to tell if the above picture of the LG smartphone has a 3D screen, but if the online sources are true, you could be looking at the LG Optimus 3D. And without the need of 3D glasses to look at the 3D touchscreen.
From the looks of it, the screen is slightly larger than 4-inch and suspected to be a 4.3-inch, which is quite huge compared to most smartphones on the market. The LG phone is equipped with dual-core processor with multi-channel memory and this literally means the mobile handset is a high-end phone. A front-facing camera can be seen on the right of the LG logo while the touch buttons are below the display. And yes, the smartphone is running on Android OS, but which version, we are unable to confirm yet.
