LG has announced the successor to the Optimus L9 called the Optimus L9 II. The device is set to go on sale starting October. LG also released a teaser video of the G Pad on YouTube today.
The Optimus L9 II looks similar to the Optimus L9, and although the pricing information isn’t available yet, it is most likely going to be targeted at the mid-range segment. It features a 4.7-inch IPS display with a 720p resolution. The mobile comes with a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor as well as an IR transmitter which can act as a remote control for your TV. It also has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory.
While the camera details haven’t been divulged yet, rumors indicate that the mobile will feature an 8-megapixel camera at the back and a 1.3-megapixel camera at the front. The camera at the back is said to come with a BSI sensor that assists users in taking better images in low-light conditions. The device also has a 2,150 mAh battery and comes with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
LG also teased a video of its upcoming tablet, the G Pad, on YouTube today. This will be LG’s first offering in the tablet segment since it unveiled the Optimus Pad last January. The G Pad is rumoured to come with an 8.3-inch full-HD screen and will most likely be announced at the IFA event in Berlin next week.
