LG Optimus LTE Android smartphone hits one million units in sales
Launched in December 2011, the LG Optimus LTE claims to be the world’s first high definition LTE smartphone. And barely two months, the company has announced that the sales of the LTE smartphone has exceeded one million units.
Today, Korean electronics company LG announced that the sales of its Optimus LTE smartphone have exceeded over one million units. Available in US, Canada, Korea and Japan, the Optimus LTE claims to be the world's first high definition (HD) LTE smartphone. First launched in Korea in October 2011, the Optimus LTE managed to hit sales of 600,000 units in the first three months, making it the most popular LTE-capable phone on the market. it also has a record sales of 8,500 units on the first day of its launch in Japan. The Optimus LTE is available through three major mobile carriers in North America
The LG Optimus LTE comes with a 4.5-inch True HD IPS display (1280 x 720, 16:9 widescreen) that offers superb color accuracy, clarity and consumes less power compared to phones with similar sized displays. Other features include 1.5GHZ dual-core processor, 1,830 mAh battery, 8-megapixel camera, and multiple connectivity options including Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA).
