LG Optimus Pad gets Android 3.1 update in Japan

NTT DoCoMo will be offering software upgrade for the LG Optimus Pad L-06C from August 10. When the 8.9-inch Android tablet was first launched in Japan, it adopted the Android 3.0 Honeycomb mobile operating system. And in two days' time, owners can upgrade their software to Android 3.1. The upgrade claims to offer improvements for the widgets which allow users to freely change the size, as well as scroll through your recently opened applications. On top of that, you can connect a USB keyboard, mouse, joystick or even a camera to transfer images. Applications including Rakuten Auction, Twonky Mobile Special, Adobe Flash Player 10.3, Catalyst Mobiler Reader, Movie Studio and LG World will also be added with the software upgrade.

The software update can be performed over a wireless LAN and you can go to the tablet's settings menu and select "System Update". Unfortunately, no word as to whether the LG Optimus Pad will made available in Singapore.
