Singapore, November 06, 2008 – LG Electronics, a worldwide technology and design leader in mobile communications today announced the official launch of the LG Renoir KC910, a slim yet feature-packed full touch screen 8 megapixel multimedia phone in Singapore. This artistic new handset, known as Renoir has a large palate of features which include Wi-Fi, Dolby® Mobile from Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: DLB), and camera capabilities that even surpass those found in standalone digital cameras.

Renoir’s camera rivals high-end standalone cameras with its multitude of features, including Schneider-Kreuznach certified optics, a Xenon flash, auto and manual focus, sensitivity up to ISO 1600, and geo-tagging, above and beyond its 8 megapixel camera. A first for mobile phones, Renoir’s Touch Shot feature increases the accuracy of photos taken, where users are able to determine the focus of the photo by touching the object on the screen. In addition, Renoir makes photo taking convenient as photos can be edited within the phone itself or taken with its various creative shot modes that leverages on face detection capabilities, making them instantly available for use.

Another first in the handset market is the inclusion of Dolby Mobile in Renoir. The video recording capability of Renoir supersedes that of other mobile phones, with the ability to capture super-high-quality 120 frame per second slow-motion video, accompanied by a noise-free microphone. Equipped with the latest 3.5G HSDPA networks and Wi-Fi, Renoir enables users to upload any audio, video, text or pictures instantly, providing a complete web2.0 experience to users.

The LG Renoir will be available locally at major mobile phone retail outlets from 8th November 2008, priced at S$888/-.
