Wouldn't it be nice if we can do away with messy power cables to connect and charge our devices? Well, Korean electronics maker, LG, has recently unveiled their new advanced wireless charger, WCD-800, at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 that provides users with great convenience and flexibility.
The WCD-800 wireless charger is actually a cradle which allow the phone to be docked vertically, allowing users to make video calls and send text messages or horizontally to view TV programs and High Definition movies while charging. Using electromagnetic induction, the WCD-800 relies on electric currents produced by the magnetic fields of the electric coils located under the charger, and helps to eliminate the inconvenience of power cable that needs to be plugged into the smartphone when recharging. The WCD-800 will be introduced first in Korea followed by North America in the first half of the year.
