Lian Li’s PC-V2130 will be its new flagship offering once it launches later this year.
Lian Li has been toying with experimental form factors of late, like the DK01 desk chassis and the mini-ITX PC-Q33. With the PC-V2130 however, the manufacturer is going back to its roots. The PC-V2130 is a full-tower chassis that comes with the same detail to attention that Lian Li is known for. The enclosure features a brushed aluminium finish and comes with sound absorbing foam embedded in the side panels that lessens the noise emanating from the fans.
The PC-V2130 is the successor to the PC-V2120, and while both models feature a similar design, the manufacturer has managed to cut the weight from 14.4 kgs to 9.8 kgs. The chassis retains the lockable wheels at the bottom that allow you to move the enclosure with ease. Lian Li mentions that the enclosure features a versatile hard drive system that allows users to configure hard drives according to their need. Other features in the PC-V2130 include a front fan controller, lockable front door and a removable 5.25-inch drive cage.
The PC-V2130 has dimensions of 237 mm x 640 mm x 625 mm and can easily accommodate motherboards of an XL-ATX form factor in addition to E-ATX and ATX form factors. The chassis also features removable dust covers for easier maintenance. The chassis comes with five 5.25-inch drive bays, eight 3.5-inch bays, four 2.5-inch bays (which are situated at the back of the drive cage) and three 3.5-inch bays behind the motherboard tray. Video cards as long as 360 mm can fit in (480 mm if you remove the drive cage). CPU coolers as long as 180 mm can also be accommodated in the chassis, which means that you can slot in Noctua’s new NH-D15 CPU cooler in this chassis with ease.
With the PC-V2130, Lian Li have focused on ensuring that even the largest liquid-cooled solutions would fit in comfortably. The chassis can accommodate radiators of 280/240mm at the top, 280mm at the front and 280mm at the bottom. Users looking to install a more traditional cooling system can find two 140 mm fans at the front, two 140 mm top exhausts, a 140 mm bottom intake and a 120 mm fan at the back of the chassis. The front panel includes four USB 3.0 ports in addition to an eSATA port and HD audio jacks.
Lian Li did not divulge availability or pricing, but has mentioned that the PC-V2130 will be “available in the next coming months.” More details will likely be available in the weeks leading up to Computex.
