Cisco has just announced the Linksys by Cisco Media Hub which is designed to store your multimedia files and provide easy management for sharing in home and wherever you are via a web browser.

Linksys by Cisco Media Hub NMH305

Compatible with PC or Mac, the NMH305 can store thousands of songs or photos, or hundreds of movies and allow you to access them conveniently from your home and also remotely from anywhere in the world.

It offers two USB ports, gigabit LAN, supports RAID1/JBOD configurations and has two bays with SATA interface; the first bay is pre-installed with one 500 GB. In addition, the NMH305 is also DLNA 1.5 certified, which means you can streams content to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 or other UPnP DMA devices.

The Media Hub is also very easy to set up and use. It comes with a user-friendly, browser-based Media Browser to view JPEG pictures, play MP3 and WMA music, and manage system configuration.

Linksys by Cisco Media Hub NMH400

The NMH400 has all the features of its NMH305 sibling, except that this one has the additional media reader that supports CF/MD/MS/SD/XD/MMC memory cards, and a 1.8-inch LCD screen that display system status, configuration and media card backup or
import progress.

Configurations and Availability

Both the NMH305 and NMH400 will be available from 18 February 2009 from Best Denki (Ngee Ann City and Great World CIty), Challenger Superstor (Funan DigitaLifeMall and VivoCity) and Copernicus Interactive (Sim Lim Square), at SGD499 and SGD599 respectively with 500GB hard drive.
