Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore has launched their new mobile service for motorists and commuters. Called MyTransport.SG, it provides comprehensive transit and traffic information to users with Wi-Fi, GPRS or 3G wireless connectivity on their mobile devices.

LTA Launches MyTransport.SG

Yam Ah Mee, Chief Executive of Land Transport Authoriy, was at the event to launch their new one-stop mobile channel.

"MyTransport.SG taps on the popularity of mobile applications and popular transit and traffic information on our PublicTransport.SG and OneMotoring internet portals. Commuters also have access to two robust, interactive journey planners - Google Maps and Gothere. This means commuters can decide on mobile, the best route, or service for them, wherever they are. They can also check specifically on the nearest bus stop or MRT station or the bus arrival time for their next bus from wherever they are by tapping on the bus or MRT icon on MyTransport.SG."

"Motorists will be excited to have real-time view of road conditions, and live traffic alerts and parking availability, so that they can make informed decisions on the routes to take and where to park, even on-the-move."

MyTransport.SG is compatible with Apple iPhone, Windows Mobile and Android smartphones.
