Over the past couple of years we've seen a handful of mice designed for MMO's and now Mad Catz has joined the fray with its Cyborg M.M.O.7 which builds upon is adjustable R.A.T series of mice. Over the past couple of years we've seen a handful of mice designed for MMO's and now Mad Catz has joined the fray with its Cyborg M.M.O.7 which builds upon is adjustable R.A.T series of mice. However, the M.M.O.7 has been given more buttons than the previous models to apparently make it more suitable for MMO's.

At first glance the most noticeable difference is the new black and chromed orange colour scheme which makes this a visually more "in your face" product. That said, it's been quite tastefully done and it doesn't look garish. As with the other R.A.T mice from Mad Catz the M.M.O.7 is fully adjustable to allow for a good fit in your hand. It comes with three different palm and pinkie grips, as well as a set of weights.

The M.M.O.7 has no less than 13 programmable buttons, as well a three position switch and a two position shift button for a total of 78 user definable commands. Let's not forget the two scroll wheels (one is for your thumb) and the new "5D" button which is a mini joystick that's thumb controlled and can move in four directions as well as being pressed inwards. Mad Catz has also added adjustable backlight to the M.M.O.7 which apparently can display any of 16 million different RGB colours.

Another interesting feature is something Mad Catz call ActionLock which allows the left and right mouse buttons to be auto clicked until unlocked. The M.M.O.7 sports what Mad Catz call a "Twin-Eye" laser sensor that offers 25 to 6400dpi sensitivity and six meters per second tracking with four user definable dpi settings. For fans of World of Warcraft, Mad Catz has even created a special plug-in that gives you quick and easy access to the button configuration. No word on pricing as yet, as the Cyborg M.M.O.7 isn't expected to arrive until January next year, so no, you can't have one from Santa no matter how good you've been.
