Microsoft still doesn’t want the world to know that it’s working on a new Xbox even after its general manager spilled the beans on “the new Xbox.”

In a recent podcast with The Verge, Brian Hall talked about which directions Outlook, Microsoft’s email client, was heading in, and evidently the next Xbox is in the mix of things.

“We’ve had Hotmail and operated Hotmail for about 16 years, we obviously have Exchange, and Outlook, that people use at work.  We Just decided it was time to do something new and bring the best from each of those and put them together and release it right in time for the new wave of products that we could have coming out with Windows 8, with the new version of Office with the new Windows phone and the new Xbox,” he said.

A few months ago, a document containing large amounts of details regarding the next Xbox was leaked, and soon after Microsoft demanded the removal of the leak from several news outlets.  Keep in mind that Hall’s remark concerning the new Xbox isn’t an official announcement.  People within the industry are proposing that Microsoft will make the official announcement some time later this year, and the console to launch some time in 2013.
