An inactive link to a “64Gb model” added on the official Zune website
indicates Microsoft is preparing its new 64Gb Zune HD for release,
adding on to its existing Zune series of portable media device. The Zune HD, introduced in Sep 2009, is built on the nVidia Tegra SoC
(system-on-a-chip) and features a 3.3” (480×272) OLED screen,
integrated FM radio receiver, 802.11b/g WiFi, and support for various
media formats (e.g. MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, JPEG, WMV, MPEG-4, and
H.264). 16GB and 32GB Zune HDs can currently be purchased from
Amazon.com at a MSRP of USD 169 and USD 239 respectively, so we are
expecting the 64Gb to cost around USD 300 mark.
