Microsoft returning to Gamescom to show off new Xbox

Microsoft is returning to Gamescom this year to show off the "Next chapter of Xbox gaming experiences".

It wasn't long ago when Microsoft announced that they would not be present at Gamescom in 2012, at least not in a big way. It seems that all this is changing. This news comes Graeme Boyd of Xbox Europe.

It's certainly no surprise what is spurring this change of heart, considering Microsoft is slated to announce the next generation of their Xbox console on May 21st, with a possible release in time for the holidays.  That's why it's very reasonable to expect a large Microsoft presence at Gamescom considering it has always been a very large  event with a lot of attendees that takes place in Cologne, Germany. Gamescom will be on August 21-25, 2013.
