A lot of things have already changed for Skype since Microsoft bought the company for 8.5$ billion USD not 20 days ago. Ten days later we reported that the "all new" Microsoft Skype broke its first open-source partnership. Now Skype is automatically installing an useless "crapware" application called EasyBits, without asking or even informing users about the installation!

Skype responded that the latest update from EasyBits had an error which resulted in problems with the correct installation and uninstallation of the extra software. They also mentioned that EasyBits has been a partner of Skype for a long time and that their software is part of the Extras Manager since 2006. Finally, the company appears to have temporarily disabled the update.
