Microsoft Sold 8 Million Kinect Controllers, Avatar Kinect Announced

With more than 8 million Kinect controllers sold worldwide, Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer announces an extension to what Kinect has to offer.

Avatar Kinect, with availability beginning in Spring this year will allow players’ Kinect to scan players’ face and recognise your facial features. 
The interesting thing about Avatar Kinect is that your avatar’s facial emotions will mimic yours via the Kinect controller.
Avatar Kinect will support a social chatroom experience and is free for Xbox Live Gold members.
