Microsoft to clear Surface inventory onto WPC attendees for ‘unbelievable’ prices
Microsoft has been working hard to clear their inventory of Surface RT and Surface Pro tablets. The Redmond giants announced that the attendees of the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) will be able to get the Surface RT and Surface Pro at unbelievable prices.
The announcement states that from July 7th to July 11th, WPC attendees will be able to purchase the tablets at discounted prices. Surface RT 64 GB with touch cover will be available for $99.99, while Surface Pro 128 GB standalone will be able for $399.99.
Earlier at Computex 2013, Microsoft did announce that they will work in collaboration with Qualcomm to introduce Windows 8.1 RT devices powered by Snapdragon 800 chipset. So, it might be a sign that the Redmond giant is willing to give Surface devices yet another chance with the launch of the update Windows 8.1 RT operating system.
Just don’t get too excited about this offer as its only available for WPC attendees. And if you don’t know, the event will take place in Houston from 7th July to 11th July and the ticket to get access to WPC will cost you $1,995. With Microsoft offering Surface RT to students for $199, remarkable discount at TechEd conference and now giving them away for $99 to WPC attendees, it seems as if a new Surface device will be launched soon, maybe at Microsoft’s Build Conference that is scheduled for next week.
What do you people think? Will Microsoft launch a new Surface device later this month?
