Microsoft is trying to lure iPad users away from their Apple bliss to its troubled Surface platform by offering them at least $200 in store credit if they trade in their slate.

According to Microsoft’s website, users who bring in their “gently used” iPad 2, 3, or 4 will receive at least $200 in store credit that is recommended to be used to buy a Surface or Surface Pro.

The deal runs until October 27 and is valid in Microsoft stores in the United States and Canada.

As Microsoft has confirmed that it is working on the Surface 2 with Nvidia, this is a desperate measure to clear inventory to make room for the new Surface.
