With shipments for the upcoming Christmas holidays reaching their end, major Taiwanese motherboard companies sustained an average of 10-15% month-on-month decline in November shipments, compared to 12% in the same period of last year. Asustek which was more seriously hit by falling sales in Europe, reportedly endured about a 20% month-on-month decrease in November motherboard shipments, estimated at between 3.0 million to 3.1 million units. ECS and Gigabyte managed to see more stable sales in November. Gigabyte is estimated to have shipped about 1.30 million motherboards in November, down by about 10% month-on-month. Sales of graphics cards remained robust in November. Major suppliers, including Asustek, Gigabyte, CP Technology and Leadtek Research, are all estimated to have enjoyed rising shipments sales of their graphics cards. CP reportedly reached historic graphics card shipments of about 304,000 units in November.
