Mobo Makers Lower 915 Boards Price

Taiwan first-tier motherboard makers recently cut prices on their 915P- and 915G-based motherboards in order to stir up demand. The price cuts came nearly one month earlier than Intel’s planned price reductions for its 915-series chipsets. Intel’s planned US$ 1-2 price cuts will not be significant enough to increase demand, which has prompted the motherboard vendors to lower their prices in advance. This month some makers also plan to launch new 915-based motherboards, which will be aggressively priced at much lower levels than current models.
