It’s not something new, every Apple product that is about to be released leaks on the internet, whether it’s a prototype or the parts of the original device. A recent leak shows images of the upcoming iPhone 5S running the same logic board that was reported a few days back.
The folks over at MacRumors received a few images – supposedly iPhone 5S – that shows both the interior and rear view of the upcoming device. If you take a closer look at the images, you will find out that the logic board that appears in the image is the same one that was leaked a few days back. The date code at the bottom of the chip reads “1243” that corresponds the manufacturing date to be late October last years, reported by Macrumors.
Another interesting thing to note here is that the main chip isn’t labeled as A-series. If you don’t know, the latest iPhone 5 is powered by an A6 chip which is labeled on it. Right now, we cannot be sure if it’s the same chip or an upgraded version that will power the iPhone 5S.
The battery in the above image also has a higher capacity compared to iPhone 5. iPhone battery had the capacity of 5.45 Whr while the device in the image above shows 5.92 Whr.
The second image shows the back cover of the so-called iPhone 5S. It clearly shows the much talked about dual-flash for the upcoming iPhone. The flash on iPhone 5 was round while in the device shown above, it’s a pill-shaped LED flash. However, the device is expected to be of the same design as the iPhone 5.
We cannot guarantee the authenticity of the images right now but considering earlier rumors and leaks, these images may be the real deal. It is expected that Apple will launch the much awaited iPhone 5S along with a low-cost iPhone by the end of this year, most probably around September.
