Motorola Singapore sent out an invite last week for their new phone launch that is happening this Thursday. From the sound of it, it should be the Motorola Defy which claims to be scratch-proof, waterproof and even dustproof.
December is usually the most quietest month of the year, as it is the month of festivity with Christmas followed by the New Year. Most vendors would push their product launches in November such that the products will be on sale from December, in time for holiday shoppers.
But that is not to say there will be no product launches at all, and it looks like Motorola has one this month. According to the invite, the smartphone is “boredom-proof, party-proof, life-proof” and suits one’s lifestyle. While no name is mentioned, checking the company’s website revealed that it could well be the Motorola Defy.
Just look at the description of the smartphone and you will see the similarities. Running Google’s Android 2.1 (Eclair), the Motorola Defy sports a 3.7-inch display and a layer of Gorilla glass to protect against scratch and occasional bumps and drops. It has enhanced MOTOBLUR that can sync your social media, as well as remote wipe of your phone in case it got stolen. Other features include 5-megapixel camera, aGPS, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fo, 3.5mm audio jack, 2GB internal shared memory and 512MB RAM, as well as Android HTML Webkit browser with Adobe Flash Lite 3.
