News of the Motorola DROID 4 has been going on since late last year, and even before the phone is launched, its specifications and product images have been known. Motorola DROID 4 to launch on 9 February; retails US$199 with contract

We have seen the Motorola DROID 4 as early as October last year, and everytime we thought it would be released, the launch was delayed. At the recent 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), we saw the DROID 4 (and its siblings), but unfortunately, the company didn't unveil the exact release date of the Android smartphone. New rumors suggested that the Motorola DROID 4 will go on retail on 9 February next Thursday. Similar to its predecessor, the phone will have a US$199 price tag with two-year contract. The DROID 4 (also known as Milestone in Asia), is like the RAZR; it is Motorola's flagship model. It resembles the DROID RAZR, except for the additional QWERTY keyboard. The Motorola DROID 4 is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 processor, 1GB memory, 4-inch TFT screen (960x540 resolution), 16GB storage, 8-megapixel camera and supports 1080p high defintion video recording.
