At this time however, Motorola has chosen only to release its WiFi-only models of the Xyboard tablets, with the Verizon 4G LTE models expected to show up on an undisclosed date in the (hopeful) near future. The other thing is that for now, the tablets are shipping with Android 3.2 Honeycomb. It is expected that the company will roll out an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for these devices at some point, but again we are not exactly sure when.

A bit about the models and pricing on offer, there's the Xyboard 8.2-inch 32GB variant that's listed at $499.99, followed by the 16GB version for $399.99. If it's a larger screen you're after, you can opt for the 10.1-inch 16GB model for $499.99 or the 32GB version for $599.99.

These prices work out to be about $200 cheaper than Verizon's (off-contract) LTE versions.
