From China to Sweden. That is where the MSI BEAT IT QuakeLive Tournament will be held, and at Dreamhack Winter 2010, the world’s largest digital festival. The tournament will be played on the first day of the event, 25 November, while the Grand Final will be played the next day.
For those who don’t know, DreamHack is the world’s largest digital festival and holds the official world record as world’s largest LAN party in the Guinness Book of Records.
It holds several festivals each year, BYOC Qualifiers and expos, beginning with the Spring Season and ends with the Season Finals at DreamHack Summer and the Fall Season ends with DreamHack Winter. The major festivals take place during four days, 24-7.
The MSI BEAT IT QuakeLive tournament was previously scheduled to be held in Beijing, and now it will be hosted at Dreamhack Winter 2010 in Jonkoping, Sweden on 25 and 26 November. The tournament will include 16 players, with four who have previously qualified. The top two finishers in EG’s Master Series cup and FnaticMSI’s BEAT IT PLAY tournament are also qualified for the BEAT IT QuakeLive tournament while the remaining 12 players will be determined in qualifiers which begin this week.
For the prize purse, the champion will walk away with $6,000,while the runner-up and third place winner will win $3,000 and $1,500 respectively.
Players from Europe can also apply and take part in the tournament.
