Last Friday, local MSI distributor Corbell organized a dinner gathering in hazy Singapore for selected power users and retailers to experience the latest MSI Intel 8-series motherboards and Nvidia GeForce graphics cards that were launched earlier this month at Computex.
Regional representative Howard from MSI Taiwan gave a short presentation on the company’s latest overclocking/gaming-oriented offerings to the 50+ invited guests in attendance, who also had the chance to play with the demo Haswell exhibits and pose technical questions to the product managers who were around.
Some of the wares on display included the overclocking oriented Z87 XPower / MPower motherboards (see our previous write-up), motherboards/GPUs from the red dragon themed Gaming series and even a lovely (albeit H87) mini-ITX offering. The enthusiast-grade products come with MSI’s Miltary Class 4 set of components, “Audio Boost” technology for high fidelity audio and Killer E2200 Gigabit NIC for gaming optimized networking.
At the end of the night, a lucky draw was conducted and the 1st Prize winner walked away with a Z87 MPower motherboard worth SGD$590.
