MSI has launched two new N500GTX series graphics cards featuring their award-winning Twin Frozr II design, the N580GTX Twin Frozr II and the N570GTX Twin Frozr II. The Twin Frozr II cooler is able to reduce operating temperatures and noise levels by up to 20°C and 8.4dB respectively compared to other solutions.

MSI has launched two new N500GTX series graphics cards featuring their award-winning Twin Frozr II design, the N580GTX Twin Frozr II and the N570GTX Twin Frozr II. MSI’s Exclusive Twin Frozr II Cooling Design

The Twin Frozr II design employs a large heatsink with a copper base. Heat is transferred efficiently from the copper base through large diameter heat pipes, dubbed the SuperPipe, to the high density aluminum fin array. Other components such as the voltage regulation modules (VRM) and the memory are covered by a large unibody heatsink. Two temperature-controlled 80mm fans push air through the whole heatsink assembly, while keeping noise levels down at the same time.

MSI’s Exclusive Afterburner Overclocking Utility

MSI’s Afterburner utility provides flexible overclocking and monitoring options. With a unique Ultra-Voltage function, enthusiasts will be able to enjoy better overclocking headroom. Apart from voltage and frequency adjustments, the Afterburner utility can store up to five fan profiles for different usage patterns. With built-in monitoring, enthusiasts can obtain real-time frequencies, voltages and load readouts from the card.

To ensure long lifespan and operational stability, MSI has used all solid capacitors on its N500 Twin Frozr II series. These capacitors not only have a rated lifespan of over ten years under heavy loading, they have low Equivalent Series Resistence (ESR), lower operating temperatures and higher electrical efficiency.
