Mysterious tablet from Sony spotted at FCC

Sony had been rather quiet and was keeping on the sideline when other companies were announcing their tablets devices, most of them Google Android-based. However, we never would have expected that the Japanese manufacturer will be diving into the tablet market so soon, especially when it was focusing on their ebook readers.

Well, now we know the company is planning a Tablet device too. According to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filing, the tablet device looks like it could be under Sony VAIO series as the model number suggested. If that is the case, the tablet may be running Windows 7 operating system.

Other details have yet to be revealed, but with the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas happening just two weeks from now, Sony may be introducing the tablet.
