Netgear R6300 802.11ac Dual-Band Wireless Router Review
Opening up the R6300 was straight forward. First by removing the two screws on the bottom stand followed by another two screws and releasing the plastic clips on the sides and top of the router.
It consist of six internal antennas, three each for the 2.4 GHz band and 5 GHz band. The 5 GHz antenna elements are attached onto a plastic carriage while the 2.4 GHz ones are attached directly onto the router casing.
Netgear uses aluminum heatsinks on the R6300 chipsets to keep things cool.
