At CES 2017 last week, Asus introduced its expansive lineup of Z270 motherboards. The company has today announced that its entire new Z270 series lineup will include Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 driver support, making Asus the first manufacturer to announce Win7 and Win8.1 support for its latest motherboards.
The next-gen Asus Z270 motherboards come packed with several ASUS-exclusive performance enhancements such as 5-Way Optimization, Pro Clock, and third-generation T-Topology technologies. They are also equipped with Aura Sync, the world’s first motherboard-controller synchronized RGB lighting and support 3D-printed customizations. The flagship Maximus IX series is of course the most desirable in the whole lineup, offering best-in-class overclocking design and features. The series has in fact broken the Intel Core best CPU frequency with 7.383 GHz on a single core and one thread and 7.328 MHz on four cores and eight threads using the Intel Core i7-7700K ‘Kaby Lake’ processor.
