LG’s Optimus G2 will come into the world in a peculiar way: it will be unveiled and launched on the same day.
Reports from Korea’s MK News say that the next-generation LG Optimus will become available for purchase in South Korea immediately after its debut in New York City. The debut is scheduled for August 7 in New York City, but due to time zone differences it won’t be launched until August 8 in Korea.
Pictures of the phone leaked in late July.
There’s no word yet on a release in the United States of Europe.
According to an earlier press release, the G2 will be powered by a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, and will sport a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p display and 3GB of RAM.
