Nexus 10 briefly shows up on the Play Store, hardware details listed
The next-generation Nexus 10 is briefly listed on the Play Store, leading to rumors of a launch later this week.
Update: It looks like this is likely a fake, as the folks at Phonearena have gotten similar leaks from the same anonymous source earlier that turned out to be wrong. So, the hardware details of the next Nexus 10 might not actually match what is given in the screenshots below, but we should have more information regarding the tablet sometime this week.
It was revealed by @evleaks today that the Nexus 5 will be officially launched on November 1st. Following that, the next-generation Nexus 10 was found listed on the Play Store for a few minutes today.
The New Nexus 10 comes with a bigger 9,500 mAh battery to the 9,000 mAh battery that is being used in the current Nexus 10. The weight of the device has been brought down to 584 gms, and the tablet is also thinner at 7.9 mm.
The new Nexus 10 will also feature a 10.055-inch screen with a WQXGA resolution of 2560×1600 that comes with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a quad-core 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM, and a 8-megapixel camera at the back and a 2.1-megapixel shooter at the front of the tablet. In terms of connectivity, the only noticeable feature missing is Wi-Fi ac connectivity. The Play Store link for the new Nexus 10 was active for only a few minutes, and is defunct now.
The new Nexus 10 will likely be unveiled alongside the Nexus 5 on November 1st, and both models will feature Android 4.4 KitKat.
