Nintendo 3DS owners rejoice, the latest firmware update will make saving your game data as simple as a single touch of the new button on the device’s UI.
Nintendo is rolling out a new system firmware update for their handheld 3DS console. This new update aims to make taking backups of save game data and apps data simple, and as easy as the touch of a single button on the UI. On one touch, all games and apps that allow taking backups can be saved onto your SD card by simply tapping the “Save-Data Backup” button.
If you have system update 2.0.0-2U or higher, you don’t need to do anything except agree to the update. It will be downloaded automatically when you are in range of a wireless Internet connection and SpotPass is enabled. If you have never performed a system update, connect your Nintendo 3DS system to the Internet, and find the System Update option in your system settings.
Users will no longer have to take the relatively longer route of transferring save game data to the PC instead. Thank you Nintendo, this update simplifies things a lot!
