Nintendo releases a date to announce...a release date

Reported by on Thursday, July 29 2010 9:29 pm

It seems that Nintendo is all set to announce the release date for its much-anticipated Nintendo 3DS. All you have to do is sit and wait for the date it has set for the announcement of the console's release date. Say what? If that has got you confused, read on for more information.

Nintendo releases a date to announce...a release date

Release dates are pretty serious business: after all, most companies will only announce a release date for their products after it has been ascertained that development is proceeding smoothly and most of the show-stopping kinks have already been worked out. After all, nothing can be worse than promising something and then repeatedly delaying its release while consumers continue to wait impatiently.

Of course, that also applies in the gaming industry, but leave it to Nintendo to do the unexpected: the video game company is apparently so concerned about the news regarding the availability of the upcoming Nintendo 3DS that it has actually specified a date (September 29) to announce the handheld console's release date and pricing.

For those of you who may still be a little confused, here is a much simpler version: Nintendo will reveal the 3DS's pricing and release date on September 29 this year. In other words, we're completely clueless as to when the handheld will be made available and how much it will be selling for, but at least we know when Nintendo intends to release that information. Nice.
