Nintendo’s Wii Mini will hit US shelves on November 17.
The console craze his holiday season will be intense as Sony and Microsoft have both entered the arena with their next-gen, all-in-one, entertainment hub. Despite all the hype surrounding the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Nintendo is still a force to be reckoned with once the floods of shoppers begin to descend upon the gaming aisle.
We’re not saying the Wii U will be a contender amongst Sony’s and Microsoft’s latest console products. What we’re saying is this: For those that are on a tight budget this holiday season, Nintendo is offering the Wii Mini for $99. How happy will that make a kid? Well, we don’t know, but it’s a lot cheaper than the $399 tag of the PS4 and $499 tag of the Xbox One.
The refreshed Wii console doesn’t boast spectacular hardware capabilities—it doesn’t even have Wi-Fi—but it does come bundled with a free game. Included with the Wii Mini is Mario Kart, a red Remote Plus controller and a Nunchuk controller.
