Nokia’s upcoming Windows Phone 8 Amber update will bring Bluetooth 4.0 LE and an improved camera to existing Lumia Smartphones.
Nokia’s upcoming Windows Phone 8 Amber, expected to roll out next month, will bring, apart from the usual bug fixes and improvements, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy to all second-generation Lumia models that support the new technology. Additionally, FM Radio support will also be introduced into the Lumia models (except the Lumia 620, which lacks the required hardware).
Apart from enabling Bluetooth 4.0 LE on the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8227 chipset based phones, Amber will also enhance the camera in the Lumia phones by bringing in new camera modes, higher degree of tweaking the camera settings and improved sharpness in clicked pictures.
Also included is the new ‘Data Sense’ that serves exactly what you’re thinking it does, keeping a track of your data consumption over mobile networks as well as WiFi.
All in all, this is turning out to be quite the update for Windows Phone 8, Nokia Lumia owners are surely excited.
