There you go, it has finally happened! Nokia’s much hyped EOS Windows Phone was caught on camera. The Nokia EOS is only rumored to have a 41 MP PureView camera at the back, in case you weren’t excited yet.
Nokia has been somewhat silent with their innovative products. After the Lumia 920 in 2012, Windows Phone fans were eagerly waiting for another “amazing” new product, but we got the Lumia 925/928 instead (not that it is bad, just not mind-blowing). Well, the company aims to change that soon.
The image reveals a design which closely replicates the Lumia 920, except for a big camera hump on the back. We fully expect the Nokia EOS to be lighter than the (really heavy) 920. The AT&T version, also in the works, is internally named ‘Elvis’. We hope the name hints at stellar audio performance instead of just a randomly chosen code name.
Nokia Lumia EOS 41 MP camera-phone
Here are the complete leaked specifications. From what we can tell, they appear to be legit. Nokia won’t be going for a 1080p display, that won’t be until Microsoft releases the GDR3 update for Windows Phone.
Nokia Lumia EOS leaked specs:
- 41 MP camera with Xenon flash
- Nokia Pro Camera
- 32 GB internal
- OLED Screen 768X1280
- WP8 V 8.0.10322.71
- FM radio
- Flip to silence
- Polycarbonate body
- Takes a 35 MP picture and a 5 MP picture at the same time one to save one to share
- Comes in yellow
- No SD card
- About 1 mm thinner than Lumia 920 with a big camera hump

Look here, the exclusive Nokia Pro Camera makes a return. Sadly, flagship Windows Phones will continue to bar its owners with expandable storage. Let’s hope that the Nokia EOS is enough to battle the upcoming camera-centric monsters, namely Sony Xperia i1 Honami, Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom and more.
