Today, Nokia Singapore held a media preview for their new E6 and X7 smartphones, based on the latest Symbian Anna operating system. Read on for the details.
Mohamad Sukkar, category marketing manager for Nokia, Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei, talks about part of the Symbian strategy as the company transitions to Windows Phone platform is that Nokia will still continue investing in their software, and talks about the improvements of the recently announced Symbian Anna.
"Symbian Anna is our marketing name and naming approach for a software update of the Symbian platform, and it is meant to simplify and make it easier for consumers to identify and understand what the software updates are all about. Symbian Anna will come right out-of-the-box and the first devices to come with the software are the Nokia E6, followed by the Nokia X7. And all the existing Symbian^3 users in the market today – N8, E7, C601 and C7 – they will all be receiving Symbian Anna via software update over the air," Sukkar said.
Joseph Chong, operative product manager for Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei, and Cheong Kok Lim, product manager, Nokia, also introduced the new E6 and X7 smartphones which run the new Symbian Anna operating system.
